Roles for Local Council Members
- Identify community resources.
- Participate as a member of a Wraparound team if requested.
- Identify and assist in filling community service gaps.
- Develop partnerships and agency collaborations.
- Participate in community outreach.
- Plan and implement programs and events to improve council function and increase membership.
- Identify and communicate challenges and successes to regional councils, Idaho Council on Children’s Mental Health, policy makers and their communities.
- Develop relationships with parent representatives in the community.
- Identify early intervention needs.
Regional councils
- Identify community successes, challenges and create possible solutions.
- Communicate statewide policies and plans from the Idaho Council on Children’s Mental Health to the local councils.
- Provide administrative oversight to local councils.
